This is an illustration friday assignment "Red". I chose to play with a couple of different ideas. I incorportated the color red in my piece, and I also used "Una Red" in my composition. Red means net in spanish. Anyway...it was a fun assignment and i enjoyed using the cut paper technique.

This is a way cute concept as well as illustration. I like your character and design. The colors harmonize very well. You did a good job keeping everything together.
I like the way the head is drawn, and the butterflies as well (the edges of the mouth are too fine, they should be widened.) I wish the rest of the illustration was drawn as well. I suggest drawing a sketch first and then tracing it with the pen tool.

I love the bright colors (and the bright purple shadow). It looks like you had fun with the technique. I just wish the drawing was a little better. Like Mike said, make a drawing first. And maybe you should use the pen tool instead of the pencil?
I meant to comment on this too. I love the feel of the whole image and the concept.
